Bangkok, Thailand

My Brother Danny moved to Thailand a little over 15 years ago . We had gone to visit him in 1996 .  The following images are taken during my recent trip to Bangkok in March 2011.

Grandparents , Parents, Siblings and extended family members spend a lot of time with each other. Bonding between family members is in evidence in these 2 following images.

My adorable little niece in her mother's arms.

Building relationship begins early in the simple pleasures of sharing a snack with a sibling or friend.

At work and still in touch with the rest of the World.

Most of the images taken at the open Market Place was taken with my Panasonic LX5 with an excellent Leica f 2 lens. The camera is small and has a very sharp lens for recording the images.

In the morning hours, monks with shaven heads, with their saffron garbs walk with their bowls. People are generous with their offerings of food for the monks who in return also bless the givers.

Bangkok has beautiful shopping malls where you can get great bargains.

This is how traffic looks like during off rush hours.

Transportation is very reasonable .

There are restaurants and food stalls every where.

 Shark Fin .

Little lane way can be transformed into shops where commerce is conducted in tight quarters.

Hot Dog stand Thai Style.

Vendor getting ready to set up shop in stall.

River City

Danny and his family accompanied me on a boat ride to the River City.  The following few images are taken from the boat .

The building on the left is one of the tallest buildings in the city of Bangkok.

The hotel suites form an interesting repetitive geometrical pattern.

Splashes of Colours every where.

Dan teaches Wing Chun - a form of Chinese Martial Art.  During my visit, he had students locally as well as foreign students from Spain, England, Belgium and Germany. This is one location where they met in the park to train.
