Human Emotions ; Reactions ; Spirit.

Curiosity Perhaps? I purposely left the right side of the image be as it is to arouse the confusion as to what is going on there .

The instant I took the second image, the look on the gentleman's face and reaction were recorded on the  sensor of the camera. It was a moment the subject realized that someone had taken his picture . It showed annoyance , suspicion , not sure how to react . Multiple thoughts must be racing in his mind for that split second as to what he should do next . I just gave him a big smile and a polite wave . Lucky for me , he decided to let it pass and did not make an issue out of it .

These two migrant construction workers in Lijiang were taking a brief break when I snapped the picture of them. The person on the right had just lit another cigarette for his mate and was in the process of handing over to the man on the left. It is interesting to see the reactions of the 2 gentlemen. The person on the right though noticing me in the first image but does not mind or care if I taking his picture ( 2nd one in the bottom. )

In the first image, the man on the left is unaware that I am using the camera and only realizes what is going on in the 2nd image .  What are his thought at that instant moment  ?

This is also an image of the human spirit of kindness , generosity, sharing  and comradeship .

Preparing for an early start .

Pondering .

Markhaven Ambassadors Singers

2013 began with our visit to Markhaven this afternoon to be entertained by The Ambassadors Quartet . The gentlemen , Paul , Ricky , Mike and Dez entertained the residents of Markhaven Facilities for one solid hour of music , dance  and activities taking us down Memory Lane. Their music included popular hits that most of us were familiar with. There was a time when music had lyrics , beautiful musical compositions, melodies and harmony . We sang and hummed tunes of Elvis Presley, Sir Tom Jones , Al Jolsen , Glen Campbell , Neil Diamond , Paul Anka ,  Harry Belafonte ,The Shadows  and even Cubby Checker !

Paul Ip- Guitarist, Singer

Tennesse Waltz

The Ritz

John Denver's Country Road- Take me Home !

Medley of Caribbean Songs of Harry Belafonte

Ricky - Man of Action ! Danced, sang and got the residents dancing and entertained. I noticed he was multitasking with the lap top in between to feed the music. Great Job.

Mike sang with such passion and emotion !

During the 1960s, The Shadows were backup musicians for British Pop singer Cliff Richard. Paul did a fantastic rendition of Apache- The Shadows' top chart breaker in the 60s. It was wonderful to get our toes tapping to the beat of my favourite rock n' roll music .

Mike did a fabulous job of performing Sir Tom Jones' Delilah with his prop in his hand .

Glen Campbell's - Rhinestone Cowboy !

Des  had a beautiful voice . He  started and closed the show  for the afternoon.

Gentlemen, thank you ! It was a treat !
